Tilly Dunn is the author of “Exit Stage Left”. In this book, she chronicles her life, and shares her tools that she discovered while reaching for her recovery. Her motto is: “If I can do it, you can do it”. Since 2007 she has not had an unbidden thought of suicide. And since almost three years ago, she has successfully not needed antipsychotic drugs. This was done with her psychiatrist’s approval and supervision. Her husband did the careful monitoring in 2012, the year of her drug discontinuation. She is very grateful for her husband’s wonderful support over these 47 years.
She is currently working on two projects. She is writing her next book called, “Handbook For Peace”, which is planned to launch on Feb. 9th, 2016. The cover has a heart on it, and on one of the lengths of ribbon flowing from this heart, are the words: “We Are One”. Tilly emigrated from Holland to Canada in 1951, when she was six years old. This was such a traumatic experience that, as an adult, she realized that she’d had the symptoms of PTSD in that first year in Canada. She was in shock, and her book tells us “why”. Now, she’s seeing the millions of people today who are exposed to trauma, as she was, and she wants to relieve the mental pain that she is witnessing on today’s news reports. We are moving towards being a global community, in many senses of the word. She doesn’t believe in co-incidence. The closer we are in alignment to our destiny, the greater our sense of “inner peace” will be.
Her second project is a series of webinars that she is designing.. Each “class”, via the phone or online, will have no more than 15 members. This is an opportunity for you to have group mental support. These are 8 weekly 45 min. sessions that she will facilitate. The goal is to go at your own pace from “Depression to Delight”. She expects that these classes will appeal to a range of participants and that this will not interfere with the medical care they may be receiving. Tilly is not a mental health professional. She is a retired Palliative Care Registered Nurse and Reiki Master, from where she has learned her communication and energy skills.
